The holidays are upon us, and it’s time to give back to your online audience. This includes giving back to your followers in your brand’s holiday marketing and digital shopping experience. According to Deloitte, e-commerce sales have projected growth by up to 35% this season as shoppers are looking for safer ways to shop for the holidays.

How can you continue to engage with your audience, as well as market yourself? We have compiled a few tips to take your holiday marketing and shopping experience to the next level and share holiday spirit in the process!

Add festive colors and decorations to your feed.

This is the perfect time of year to sprinkle holiday colors in the imagery used on your social media accounts. Whether silver, gold, green or red pairs best with your current Instagram grid, this is a great opportunity to develop a clean shift into the holiday spirit. Take the example above from The Container Store as they incorporated their product as storage for holiday decorations.

Introduce holiday copy.

Add holiday words into your captions on social media. This is a great opportunity to get “punny” with your phrasing, or even use your favorite holiday emojis in posts.

Make sure your website is up to speed

Is your website quick and easy to shop? Use Google’s resource, PageSpeed Insights, to make sure the shopping experience is best suited for busy schedules.

Create engaging holiday graphics.

Use resources like Canva or brush up your Photoshop skills if you’re feeling adventurous to create shareable and engaging content. Incorporate imagery like candy canes, snow and holiday decorated trees to immediately create a festive post your audience is bound to engage with and share.

Utilize your email list.

The holidays are the perfect time to nurture the relationship you have with your customers or clients. Whether it’s a heartfelt message or sharing a sale, connecting with your audience during the holidays with an email is a great way to remind them of the product or service you offer.

Create mobile friendly ads.

Facebook shared a great resource for making sure your ads are mobile friendly this holiday season. It’s safe to say that 2020 has increased screen time, so social ads are a perfect way to connect to your audience. Check out the formula for successful ad copy in the graphic shared above.
